Pianist and conductor with one of the most versatile profiles of his generation, Miquel Massana currently combines commitments in the symphonic, lyrical and "cobla" worlds, also highlighting his deep pedagogical vocation and musical outreach.

He is chief conductor of the "Rovira i Virgili" University Symphony Orchestra and Ponent Youth Orchestra and has been invited by Vallès Symphony Orchestra, Camerata XXI Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra of Menorca or the Youth Orchestra of the Generalitat Valenciana, as well as by "cobles" like Sant Jordi-Ciutat de Barcelona, Marinada or Maricel. After making his debut in the world of opera with Don Giovanni by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in Fundació Ópera Catalunya production, this season he will premiere at the Gran Teatre del Liceu as assistant conductor of La Cenerentola, by Gioachino Rossini, and as chorus master of La Traviata in the production of Amics del Teatre Líric of Tarragona.
